Rep. Geiss Speaks "there will be blood in the streets."

Giving his comments on final passage. He is opposed to passage of HB 4003. "Labor led me to stand here on the House floor." he was in management at Ford, which made his friends suspect him because he had to work with Republicans...apparently everyone in management is a Republican and everyone on the plant floor is a Democrat.

"This [bill] is the nuclear option."

"This is the most divisive issue we have had to deal with."

"We are about to undue 100 years of [labor progress]. There will be blood on the streets."

Not seeing anything about this here in Southern California. No LA Times coverage of this incendiary remark. A Republican says something as simple as "take aim" and it's front page news in the Times.

Between comments like these and Obama's visit to Michigan and his confrontational remarks, ya think maybe some union members saw that as a green light to flex their muscles? Ya think?
